Incredible

In the past two weeks, my life has been completely turned around by God. There were so many things in my life that were unanswered. It had been about 6-7 months that I had been hurt, lost, and confused. Within 2 weeks, God has shown me that He really does have control of my life, and He cares about what I'm going through. He was working everything out while I was doubting Him, and it amazes me the blessings that He still pours out on me even when my faith and trust in Him was gone. Thank you Lord for showing me that You are in control.

I'm Back!!!

Hey everybody! It's been ages since I've been on here, so I figures I should let you all know that I am alive and well and things are going great! Here's what's been going on since I last blogged: I am now a high school graduate!! WOOO HOOO!!! We had a great turnout at my graduatino party and I had a blast at the ceremony! My grandparents came from Alaska for the event and we had fun with them being here for a week. For the first time ever I am going to Jr. camp and Sr. camp this year! I'm so excited! I'm playing the piano at the services for Jr. camp and I'm super excited, but really nervous about it too. Keep me in your prayers please!! Senior camp should be a blast! Never been, so it'll be quite the experience I'm sure! I'm starting college August 24 down at Heald in Roseville for the Medical Assisting program so I'm slowly prepping myself for it all! As for the family, they are all doing well and living happy lives! Hopefully my next blog will come before the next few months pass us by, but if not, you are all in my prayers and I hope that you and your family are all doing well!

Love, Katelynn

Thankful...

I am just thinking tonight/this morning about how thankful I am that no matter how many times I fall, or how many times I need to be picked up and placed back on my feet again, or how many times I need to feel loved....Jesus is always there. I couldn't imagine my life without Him. Well, let's face it...without Him I wouldn't be here, none of us would, but I'm so thankful that He allowed me to be His daughter and He allowed me to be filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus name. And the fact that I am Apostolic! I am just in awe of how much Jesus has blessed me and my family. He's blessed me with the friends and family I have, and so many other things. I don't know why, but tonight it just hit me how blessed I really am. I don't have to worry about being like other people my age, strung out on drugs, or having family problems, or living on the streets, but most of all, I'm so grateful that Jesus is just a prayer away. I'll never understand how He could choose me to be a daughter of His, but I'm so grateful He did!

My Day

I got home about 20 minutes ago and I had a very interesting day! :) It started off this morning at 7:30 when I rolled out of bed to take my mom to work so I could have the car. (Most of you know I am NOT in any way, shape, or form a morning person!) After I dropped off my mom, I went to pick up my friend, Cynthia, and we went to chapel at FCA. That was a lot of fun...I always love to go and see everybody! Then I took Cynthia back home and went back to my house. By this time it was about 10:30 or so and I waited for sister to arise for the day..about 10 minutes after I got home. I think I came in a little noisy! :) I then called my other friend, Veronica, to see if I could borrow some hair clips for the conference that I was going to tonight. My sister and I loaded up and ran over there to pick hair stuff out and then got back to our house around 11:50. I had decided to take my mom out to lunch today so I could spend some time with her and her lunch was at 1 so I had to leave our house by 12:30, and I had to be dressed and ready to go for church tonight because we were going to On Course down in Merced and my pastor and his wife were coming to pick my sister and I up at 3...and since my mom's lunch went until 2, I would get home about 2:30 and I still had to pick up my room, do the dishes, and curl my sister's hair. :) Needless to say the rest of my afternoon was rushed! We were picked up at 3...and we were ready!!! Whoo hoo!!! :) We had to pick another friend of ours, Sherry, because she was riding with us to On Course, and we got to the service right as the lights came on. Great timing!! As soon as altar call was over (well kinda over!) we left and went through In-N-Out's drive through and then Taco Bell's drive through for dinner and we were on our way home! O my word....the drive home was hilarious!! I haven't laughed that hard in a really long time. I think we laughed the entire 3 hour drive back home!! My pastor when he is overtired is hilarious!! You would not believe the things he was coming up with! He would start singing these crazy songs very loudly and then he was making fun of one of Janessa's stories and he laughed hysterically for at least 20 minutes! We laughed almost the entire ride home....it was crazy! Oh the stories to tell! :) I love these kind of days! We made so many memories tonight. Ones that will stay with my for the rest of my life. I am so thankful for a pastor and his wife who care about their young people and stay up until the wee hours of the morning hanging out with us and driving us to conferences so that we can meet other young people. Thank you Jesus!

Well I hope you all had a great FRIDAY!!! :) Thanks for reading my ramblings! God Bless!

Back in the swing of things and seeing old friends

Hello to all! I know it has been forever since I have been on, but I am now trying to get back into the swing of things! To catch you all up, I am not working at the moment, things weren't working out at my job and my sister and I were getting a major pay cut and it just wasn't worth it anymore, so right now we are twiddling our thumbs and waiting to see what God has in store for us job wise. I am starting classes at Heald on August 24 to start my journey through the medical field....what a long ride that will be! So worth it though! Things have been going great at church. There have been so many revivals and conferences the past couple weeks, and so many more to come! I think I have almost every weekend covered from now til the summer is over! It's exciting though! Right now, No Limits is going on. The service tonight was a good one, and I got to see a ton of people that I haven't seen in a year! That really made my night! It's awesome to get back in contact with people that you rarely get to see. My night was a good one, and since I have to get up early, I'm going to head to bed! Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and weekend!

So I had the most amazing last two nights ever!! Let's start off with last night. :) I went to the Gaither concert at Arco...so much fun!! Definitely got my monies worth with that, it was 4 hours long!! I got to see, for the first time, Ernie Haase and Signature Sound...SO amazing!! Those guys are incredible!! I'm hooked! :) And the *new* vocal band. I hadn't seen Wes and Marshall yet so they were new to me! I have to admit that Wes is my favorite though! The highlight of my night, was when JASON CRABB walked out on stage! Totally made my night, my week, my month lol!!! He is one of my favorites and it was incredible to see him live. What a gift from God he has. And Janet Paschal was there, Russ Taff, Jeff and Sheri Easter and their daughter, Kevin Williams, their guitar and bass player...hilarious!! So that was the fantastic night I had last night. Tonight, I was looking up videos on youtube of all the people there, and I started checking out some of their websites....and I came across Russ Taff's! And to my surprise, I found out that TONIGHT he was playing, with Margaret Becker, at William Jessup University at 7:30pm and it was only $10 to go!!!! So my dad graciously let me go :) and Janessa came with me. It was perfect...I got close parking :), 3rd row seats :), and to top it all off, I got to meet Russ and talk with him for a little bit, he signed my cd, and gave me 2 hugs :) :) :D :D!!!!! Lol!! So needless to say, I'm thrilled beyond words, and the only thing that has a damper on my smile is that I'm starving! Ha ha!! Now I am going to eat, but I wanted to get out all of my excitement and this was the best way to do it!! :)

In The Christmas Spirit.......

Hi everybody!!

I am super excited for Christmas!!! (And Thanksgiving!!) But I've been listening to Christmas music for almost 3 months off and on, and I'm still not sick of it. I can't wait til all the baking starts, so the house starts to smell like baking (!!), and for the Christmas tree to be all decorated and lit up, and the stockings to be hung, and fiiinally......for the presents to start going under the tree!! Ha ha!! I'm KIDDING! Kiiiiinda! :) It's just everything about the holidays. Seeing family, getting Christmas cards in the mail....I love that! Getting pictures of people you haven't seen in centuries! Everyone seems to be in a better mood too! And funny things always happen during the holidays too. No one seems to care about bursting into song and what they sound like! :) I was actually singing a Christmas song yesterday and Janessa thought I was crying! HAHA!! Guess I was having a bad singing day or somethin! Speaking of bad singing.....(ha ha!) we only sing Christmas songs on service at church, but it is a very interesting time hah! NO ONE can ever find a good key so it's all jumbled together and all crazzy! It's funny! :) But it's everything about the holidays. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! On Christmas morning, my sister and I get up at like 8...or 9...sometimes 10 lol!! (We're not the spring chicks we used to be!!) And then we have to wait for my parents to get their coffee and get dressed (ugh, who gets dressed on Christmas!! That's part of the fun is stayin in your jammies!!) So then they finally arrive and we go to the living room and read the Christmas story from the Bible. After that my dad asks us the same question every year....What is the greatest gift you could ever receive??? Answer..............the gift of the Holy Ghost! :) And then we get to open presents and call and wake my Grandparents up (who live in Alaska) and then later that day we get to go my other Grandparents house!!! It's so much fun! Well, I, for one, am ready for Christmas!! :) How bout you?! Anyway....I have no clue why I just wrote all this. I guess I just wanted to talk! LOL!
